Welcome to Block 7 of the QAL by the Sea! I love this block by Laura Piland from Slice of Pi Quilting.
Laura’s blocks are so interesting as she just nails the focus in its simplicity. Her colors for her quilt, in the monotone blues is making me wish it were mine (and I may make one one day), but for now, I will love watching her quilt develop.
It reminded me of the wave fences in Portland. On his website, the color is saide to be “Oh So Blue” powdercoat. I rather love the name and the fence too. Sadly, it replaced the Love Locks fence, which I also loved. You can see that it was just too heavy and about to be dumped into the harbor. I do think the new one is beautiful, but in no way reflects the sentiments the other fence literally held.
