Little finishes

Earlier this month, I chased two squirrels. None of them were urgent but they were fun and fast finishes. I haven’t committed to big projects, although a big finish will post for TGIFF around 6 on Thursday – I’m hosting. We’re moving to a smaller apartment mid-February in the same building AND my DH has cataract surgery this month and mid-March. All these things will keep me hopping, so I am only doing little things!

First up is this infinity scarf. I took one of Shannon’s online free classes a month or so ago. Here are the instructions if you are interested. I finally purchased a yard of Timeless Multi Forest Cuddle fabric at Bits ‘N Pieces quilt store in Pelham, NH. They are my HandiQuilter Dealer and working really hard through covid to keep quilters happy. You get 3 scarves out of one yard, and I made all 3. I figure I can keep one in each place and I have a gift or a little one to sell one day.

The second was this little soap holder. A zoom class was held but I missed it. I did purchase the pattern and figured I could follow it. It all worked out and I really like it. It is a simple thing, but very practical.

Meanwhile, there are linky parties here….for Tips and Tutorials on the 22nd through the end of the month and come back Thursday after 6pm through Saturday at noon for TGIFF!

Those are two good projects. I bet that scarf would be great in a batik rayon (I think I have some *-))

A couple of nice little projects while you are in the midst of some busy home life details, Kathleen. I’ll be thinking of you in the coming days!

I love fast little finishes!!! Perfect for your current schedule. Did you use batik? Rayon? Quilters cotton? on the infinity scarf.

What a beautiful scarf and cute soap holder! I bet that scarf feels really nice this winter with that cuddle fabric. Wishing your DH a speedy recovery. Our son (age 50) had cataract surgery last week. It is rare for someone so young to have one. He just wants his good vision back!

Hi Kathleen! Good luck with your move. It still involves all the packing and unpacking no matter how far or short the distance. That mesh bag looks pretty nifty as does the infinity scarf. Quick and easy are a good thing when life is handing out other stresses. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Good luck with the move and I hope your husband’s surgeries are very successful and he has fast recoveries. Small projects are really satisfying, and I hope the infinity scarves are warm and make you smile when you wear one. 🙂
