December Goals – OMG and PhD in 2020

November whipped by – birthday month and Thanksgiving will do that. The end of the year is rapidly approaching and it is the time of the month to assess what I have accomplished and what I will get done this month. I am on track to get 12 UFOs (Unfinished Objects) done before the end of the year, as well as, the 2 remaining new projects. The Cousin Quilt is a little worrisome, due to the feature fabric, but I think it is a simple plan. Keeping my fingers crossed I can stay focused. Gail at Quilting Gail is the host, and I’ll be linking up with her to show my progress.

Edith’s quilt is done, and you will see a blog about it, maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Actually, I was surprised that I hadn’t blogged about…or have I lost my mind?

These blocks are part of one of my UFOs and will be my OMG to finish, so I am linking up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts.   I expect that making the bags I am thinking of will take less than 2 days, so it should be doable once I set my mind to it.

From Bernina.com website

After months, I will be picking up this beauty on Tuesday. I am hoping it speeds me along rather than slows me down. It could become a distraction, but I can’t wait. My old machine is giving me fits and starts…and so I know this will be a huge improvement! It will be my primary machine in Maine, like the Bernina 440 is my primary machine in Massachusetts. I am so ready for this!

Coming Up on the Blog:
Edith’s Quilt – 12/9
Holiday Tales – 12/16
TGIFF – 12/18
#TTot22 – 12/22
Wrap up 2020!

Kathleen, I love that sweet animal quilt! Looking forward to your OMG finish with those blocks! And, personally, I think we’ve all gone a bit mad this year…at least since March!

A new Bernina, my 440 QE is a dream, the 3rd one, as my Mum had one way back in about 1950, when that was 29 years of age, she gave it to me, I traded it in,, that one is still going so well, our younger daughter loves it, your 570 will be a dream too. but a reality.

I am not sure how the prices are for you, but down here the 570 is NZ dollars, $5499, and the embroidery module is extra. I think my 440 was about $2000 and that was 10 years ago.

Super exciting on the new Bernina, my favourite machine! Although my little Featherweights are my darlings too, my Bernina is the most used. Edith’s quilt is adorable; looking forward to reading about it!
