Focus…Quilting Goals

I have gotten a quite a bit done for the first quarter. Considering I travelled to Quilt Con (5 days) and to NH for a Retreat (mostly Prostitcher classes) I think I did very well. The good news is that all but one of the projects above was completed! Here are the links to them in case you missed them:
Swap Mob Zip Bag
Winter Blues Blog Hop
MQG Mini Swap
Awesome Ocean
Row by Row Tablerunners
Punch Needle (not done)
2019 Color Block (also OMG for January)
Quilt Qwazy Queens Blog Hop

#2020FAL2Q

This is a pretty good list. There is one project missing in action, but the rest are readily available. I hope to resolve the locate that project before the week is out – wish me luck.

This is #6 on the list, but the easiest one for me to commit to for this month. This will be my OMG – One Monthly Goal as well as a 2020 FAL (finish along) quarter 2 project. As you can see, it is partially assembled. I am ordering some fabric for the back and binding (don’t really have anything I like) so unless that fizzles, it should be an easy finish! I kept missing the OMG deadline for getting the project on the list, but I am making it this month.

And, just for fun, here is a slide show of the projects for the 2nd quarter. Some are placeholders, or just the blog hop logo until there is a design or something to put there!

Meanwhile, my husband and I are staying safe but we have been enjoying the milder days when we get them. Nothing like a walk around the island to make you feel so much better. And, if you didn’t have a chance, check up on the Tips and Tutorial links for last month – there were some really awesome ones. I hope to get them in the Pinterest board today or tomorrow

Take care of yourself and your loved ones; it feels so important right now.

So glad you enjoyed it! It was a pretty good quarter, and one that seems a distant memory of moving freely about!

You had a good first quarter, and your second is looking to be a good one as well. Enjoyed the slide show! I’d love to join you on your walk around the island 🙂 We finally had nice enough weather for a walk yesterday too – in the sunshine, no less!

I am glad you enjoyed the slide show. It was fun to put together. Oh, it would be so nice to walk with friends around the island! Storms threaten today and cooler temps are back but this too shall pass! Warm sunshine is coming more and more often!!!

Hi Kathleen! Great list for Q2. I have been thinking about a jelly roll rug myself and wondering if I need to make one. I look forward to seeing all of your projects as you complete them. Yay to remembering your OMG project for April. Take care. ~smile~ Roseanne

Thanks, Roseanne! I know we will both be busy. The rug is rectangular, and maybe a hoping point for Percy to get on our bed. The wood floors are slippery in the cottage, so that was my intention for it. I can’t believe I missed the deadline twice on OMG!!! So ridiculous!

Hi Kathleen. Great list and you managed to get a lot done the first quarter. Looking forward to seeing all your Q2 projects!

Ah, thanks Carol. The odd thing is I looked for my punch needle in our apartment ,along with my bias tape makers, and neither are there. That says I stashed in Maine where I couldn’t find them…the saga continues. Tomorrow, back to sewing.

I’m so happy for the milder weather – although temps are taking a dip over the next several days. Yesterday it was almost 70, tonight we are expecting snow flurries. Crazy! Good luck on your list! List making is a great way to stay organized – I love my planner. Thanks for linking to MCM!

I do hope the list helps! I love my planner, I ordered the loose leaf one, but the binder is less than ideal. I wanted to take it back and forth, and I can, but I think the real option will be a small desk one next year. I used the arc system one year, and may revisit it. I love my computer but real lists are awesome.

Oh my gosh, look how organized you are….I am amazed.

I love to be organized….now if I could just figure out how to figure what I can really get done in a day…that would be a good thing!

  9. April 10, 2020 / 10:12 am

Thanks, Carol. I can’t find that one project….so strange as I had it out in February!

You’re just cruisin’ right along, Kathleen! You’ll probably stumble across that missing project as soon as you STOP looking for it. That’s what happened to me recently when I was ransacking my house looking for my lost Apple Pencil stylus. I finally discovered it the next day — in my UNDERWEAR drawer! Turns out I’d collected a big pile of things downstairs that needed to go upstairs, including laundry as well as my iPad and the stylus in its little sling, and the Velcro sling that holds my Apple Pencil had clung to the pile of folded underwear when I put that section of my giant pile away in the drawer… Perhaps your project was accidentally packed away with something else, maybe fabric that you had out to audition and then returned to your stash? I’m looking forward to seeing your project from Paula Nadelstern’s workshop. She was scheduled to teach at our guild in April but that workshop was cancelled along with every other event on everyone’s calendar!

Doing a checklist is something I must learn, thank you for reminding me on that one. I love those colorful fabric as well. Makes me imagine what I can do with things like those.
By the way, I am new in blogging and I hope you can support me. Just recently, I made a challenge to myself to visit at least 10 blogs for the next 21 days. As I visit blogs, I will leave comment and put your link on my blog too. Hope you can visit my blog too.
    I followed your blog too.

Checklists do help. I have a bigger one for longer goals and now keep a shorter one at my machine. I will take a look at your blog. Good luck with your endeavors.

It appeared! It slid off the bed in my study when the dog jumped up. He did it again which made me realize where the heck it was. I loved Paula’s class, and will bring that back to Maine the next time I go to Massachusetts. I have plenty here for the near term and will make a trek down in a few weeks, I hope, when I can get some things done …. hard to make good plans these days.

I love hearing from you and try to reply promptly to each comment.
